Job Description

Facility Maintenance Technician Amada America, Inc. company vehicle United States, North Carolina, High Point 3889 Amada Drive (Show on map) Jun 10, 2026 Description Performs and/or coordinates installations, maintenance, and repairs of facility structures and equipment, including minor mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work. Coordinates with outside contractors for major services such as construction, HVAC, major electrical and plumbing, roofing, gardening and grounds, security, and janitorial. Maintains company vehicle and equipment maintenance schedules.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Performs all minor mechanical, electrical, plumbing and carpentry installations and repairs to company equipment, fixtures, and structures. Helps coordinates the services of outside contractors for: Construction and remodeling Major electrical and plumbing HVAC maintenance and repair Roof maintenance and repair Garden and ground maintenance Janitorial services Security services and equipment Complies and maintains information, drawings, and documentation files concerning facilities. Establishes and maintains maintenance standards and schedules for company fixtures and equipment including, but not limited to: Motor Vehicles Fire Extinguishers Sprinkler risers, and PIV's Backflow Prevention Devices Helps move furniture and fixtures as needed for personnel moves and changing business requirements. Painting Replacing light bulbs Ceiling and floor tile replacement and repair Assists other departments with problems and/or correction of unsafe conditions. Performs other duties as assigned by management.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Prepares reports for management as needed. May participate on the
Company Safety Committee SKILLS:
Detail oriented with the ability to handle tasks and priorities. Skilled in use of standard hand tools as hammers, wrenches, screwdrivers, plyers, etc. Skilled in use of power tools such as drill motors, saws, pumps, and compressors. Ability to work on and complete projects with minimal supervision. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Computer literate including ability to use programs such as Word, Excel, and Visio.
PAY RANGE
$24.00-$28.00/HR
WORK SCHEDULE
Monday - Friday 6:45 AM to 3:30 PM
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
Facilities Manager
SUBORDINATE STAFF
None
KNOWLEDGE
Minimum five years of hands-on experience in equivalent facilities or handyman work. Familiar with all aspects of facilities repair and maintenance practices.
TRAVEL:
Very little travel.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Environment:
Works indoors in shops, offices, and warehouses, as well as outdoors and on roofs. May occasionally work close to loud machinery or equipment. May occasionally be exposed to hot or cold (uncontrolled) temperature environments. May be exposed to dirt, oil, grease, or solvents.
Physical:
Requires ability to life up to 50lbs. Requires ability to stand, bend and squat. Requires ability to climb ladders and maintain balance. Requires ability to grasp and hold objects with hands and fingers. Requires ability to type at a computer keyboard using fingers. Requires ability to see, hear, and smell.
