Job Description

Position Overview The Tooling Maintenance Technician plays a key role in supporting production by ensuring dies, tooling, and related equipment operate reliably and produce high-quality parts. This position focuses on maintaining and improving tooling performance through hands-on repair, troubleshooting, and preventive care in a manufacturing setting. What You'll Do Tooling Support & Repair Maintain and service progressive dies, fixtures, and tooling to support consistent production output Perform adjustments, sharpening, and rebuilds to keep tooling in optimal condition Identify and resolve issues impacting tool performance or part quality Set up and align dies correctly for production runs and ensure proper handling after use Document maintenance activity and track tooling history Maintenance & Troubleshooting Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance on tooling and associated equipment Investigate tooling-related downtime and work with cross-functional teams to resolve issues quickly Suggest enhancements to tooling design, materials, or processes to extend lifespan and efficiency Quality & Safety Focus Check finished parts using precision measuring equipment to confirm specifications are met Follow all company safety procedures and quality requirements during repairs and maintenance Support root cause investigations related to tooling or production defects Keep work areas organized and aligned with workplace standards (including 5S practices) Team Collaboration Partner with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to improve overall operations Share insights that help improve tooling performance and manufacturing processes Assist in guiding team members on proper tooling use and care when needed What We're Looking For High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training in Tool & Die or a related field is a plus Several years of hands-on experience working with tooling, preferably in stamping or precision manufacturing Working knowledge of mechanical systems, including hydraulics and pneumatics Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics Experience using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges Basic machining or welding experience is helpful but not required Comfortable working independently while managing multiple priorities Work Environment & Physical Demands Regular standing, bending, and lifting (up to 50 lbs.) Exposure to a production environment, including noise and machinery Required use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toe footwear About Us
