Job Title:
Maintenance Technician (3rd Shift) Job Description This role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems in a production environment. You will perform day-to-day and preventive maintenance on equipment such as CNC machines, robotic arms, milling equipment, hydraulic presses, lathes, and punch presses, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable operation throughout the facility. Responsibilities Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems to minimize downtime and maintain efficient operations. Read and interpret electrical schematics to diagnose and resolve electrical issues accurately. Perform day-to-day maintenance tasks, including swapping sensors, repairing or replacing wiring, and addressing minor equipment faults. Conduct preventive maintenance throughout the facility to identify potential issues and extend equipment life. Assist with general facility maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs and supporting building upkeep. Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic pistons and related hydraulic systems to ensure proper performance. Diagnose and repair CNC machines and robotic arms to maintain precise and reliable production processes. Work with 24-volt low-voltage systems, including swapping out motors and verifying correct installation and operation. Ensure electrical systems are functioning correctly by checking voltage, resistance, and other key parameters. Use coding as needed to help diagnose issues and implement solutions on automated or programmable equipment. Operate, maintain, and perform basic repairs on milling equipment, hydraulic presses, lathes, and punch presses. Document maintenance work performed and communicate equipment status and issues to relevant stakeholders. Follow safety procedures and best practices while working with electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems. Essential Skills At least 7 years of prior maintenance experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or similar environment. Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and repair complex mechanical systems. Ability to read and understand electrical schematics for effective troubleshooting and repairs. Hands-on experience with electrical systems, including low-voltage 24-volt circuits. Proficiency in performing preventive maintenance on a variety of production and facility equipment. Experience working with hydraulic systems, including hydraulic pistons and presses. Knowledge of pneumatics and the ability to troubleshoot and repair pneumatic components. Proven ability to repair and maintain CNC machines and robotic arms. Experience swapping sensors, motors, and wiring while ensuring safe and correct installation. Ability to check and interpret electrical measurements such as voltage and resistance. Basic coding skills to support troubleshooting and resolving issues on automated systems. Capability to operate and maintain milling equipment, hydraulic presses, lathes, and punch presses. Strong troubleshooting mindset with the ability to work independently on 3rd shift. Additional Skills & Qualifications Comfort working in a fast-paced production or manufacturing environment. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple maintenance requests effectively. Strong attention to detail and commitment to equipment reliability and safety. Good communication skills to clearly explain issues, solutions, and equipment status. Willingness to continuously learn new technologies, equipment, and processes. Work Environment This is a full-time 3rd shift position with hours from 11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., working in a production or manufacturing facility. You will regularly work around CNC machines, robotic arms, milling equipment, hydraulic presses, lathes, punch presses, and various electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. The role is hands-on and may involve standing for extended periods, working with tools and test equipment, and moving between different areas of the facility to perform maintenance. You will follow appropriate safety procedures and wear suitable work attire and protective equipment as required for an industrial environment.
