Job Description

Village Realty is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Pool & Spa Technician to join our property maintenance team. This full-time, year-round position is responsible for servicing, cleaning, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing pools and spas at Village Realty managed properties and other assigned locations. The ideal candidate will have strong technical ability, excellent communication skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to provide professional service to homeowners, guests, coworkers, vendors, and administrative staff. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Clean, service, and maintain assigned pools and spas according to company standards and applicable safety requirements. Test, balance, and document pool and spa water chemistry. Inspect pool and spa equipment, including pumps, filters, heaters, valves, plumbing, timers, covers, and related systems. Troubleshoot and repair pool and spa maintenance issues in a timely and professional manner. Identify maintenance concerns before they become larger issues and report them using proper company procedures. Coordinate with administrative staff regarding work orders, scheduling, service updates, vendor needs, and completion status. Communicate clearly and professionally with guests, homeowners, coworkers, vendors, and management regarding pool and spa concerns. Maintain accurate daily records of completed work, chemical readings, maintenance activity, repairs, and outstanding issues. Track open work orders and follow up until items are completed or properly escalated. Safely operate company vehicles, tools, equipment, and materials. Assist other technicians as needed and support team members with technical questions or field issues. Contact outside vendors when necessary in coordination with administrative staff or management. Follow all company policies, safety procedures, documentation standards, and customer service expectations. Perform other maintenance-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills:
High school diploma or GED equivalency. Previous pool and spa maintenance experience preferred. Experience with water chemistry, pool equipment, pumps, filters, heaters, or basic plumbing is a plus. Property maintenance, hospitality, vacation rental, or customer service experience is helpful. Must obtain Certified Pool Operator, CPO, certification prior to beginning duties. Valid driver's license required. Must qualify to drive a company vehicle Ability to pass a mandatory background check. Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to communicate professionally with guests, homeowners, coworkers, vendors, and office staff. Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to completing work accurately and on time. Ability to prioritize tasks, manage daily routes, and follow up on open items. Dependable attendance and punctuality are required. Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of working indoors, outdoors, and within a warehouse environment. Prolonged periods of walking. Ascend and descend stairs/ladders as needed. Ability to lift up to 50 or more pounds.
