Job Description
Position Summary Duties and responsibilities include keeping buildings and property clean and equipment in good working condition. Making daily errands, completing general maintenance, and assisting coworkers with their requests. Identifying any potential safety hazards and immediately addressing any issues. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Ensure all areas are clean and organized (free of trash, pallets stacked, etc.) to prevent accidents
- Cutdown and bale cardboard
- Handle daily repairs in office & warehouse, if capable, including painting and setting up office spaces
- Handle security alarm calls and lock and unlock facility when needed
- Cut grass, trim bushes and trees and maintain grounds
- Make daily trips to the Post Office, suppliers, bank, and store as needed
- Maintain warehouse # 2 and put overstock items in locations until needed for customer orders
- Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance and contacting vendors to schedule repairs
- Oversee storage and upkeep of all company tools
- Monitor and change light bulbs changed throughout the office area and warehouse and change out air filters throughout facility
- Vehicle maintenance: Take vehicles for inspections, oil changes, have cars cleaned and keep them fueled. Help with coordination of company events, including setting up tables, operating sound system, etc.
- Assist Receiving and Shipping Departments when needed
- Ensure safety/operational guidelines are met
- Obtaining quotes and contacting subcontractors (e.g. electricians, plumbers, roofers, etc.) for necessary repairs
- Recommend improvements to reduce cost and drive productivity within the department.
- Complete other duties as assigned Supervisory Responsibilities This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities. Education High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of 2 years of facilities maintenance experience. Skills/Experience
