Job Description

Position Summary The Maintenance Technician (Multi-Craft) is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment and facility systems to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations. This is a hands-on role requiring strong electrical and mechanical skills, with the ability to work independently as the primary maintenance resource for the facility. Key Responsibilities Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery and facility equipment Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems (motors, panels, wiring, controls) Diagnoses and repair mechanical components (bearings, belts) Maintain and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems Perform basic welding, fabrication, and machining as needed Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals Maintain maintenance logs, work orders, and equipment records Coordinate repairs to minimize downtime and support production schedules Assist in equipment installation and modifications Manage basic spare parts inventory Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies Communicate maintenance issues and improvement opportunities to leadership Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED (technical/trade certification preferred) 5-7+ years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical and mechanical systems Working knowledge of: Motors and motor controls Hydraulics and pneumatics Bearings, shafts, and drives Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Basic computer skills for tracking maintenance activities Preferred Qualifications Manufacturing equipment experience Experience with PLC troubleshooting Welding and fabrication experience Manual machining experience Prior experience as a lead or self-directed technician Experience in small manufacturing environments (doing multiple trades) Work Environment Industrial/manufacturing setting Requires standing, bending, lifting, climbing, and working with tools and machinery May require occasional off-hours or emergency response
