ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Responsible for solving mechanical, pneumatic, electronic and minor electrical problems of the plant facility and production equipment in a safe, timely and cost effective manner. Resolve problems of plant, packaging and processing equipment such as wiring, circuits, fuses, switches, electrical installations, transformers, motors and AC/DC motor control circuits. Responsible for repairing minor leaks and overall system performance of the steam system. Completion of PM's (preventive maintenance) in a timely fashion. Responsible for point-of-use filtration and maintenance of the compressed air system. Maintain proper operation of the water distribution system. Troubleshooting abilities using electrical testing equipment. Knowledge of the PSM/RMP ammonia system program. Must have an understanding of how the ammonia system functions and possess the ability to troubleshoot when issues occur with approved training. Must possess Ammonia Operator I and Ammonia Operator II training. Have understanding of electrical systems, welding, fabricating, variable frequency drives, hydraulics, pneumatics, lubrication and drive trains. Shall understand and follow HAACP and GMP policies. Maintain a clean working environment. Follow all company policies and procedures to produce safe, quality and legal products. Normal work week is 40 hours per week; however, it may be necessary to work overtime on a daily and/or weekly basis.
