Job Description
Facility Maintenance & Plant Logistics Specialist Job Summary:
The Facilities Maintenance & Plant Logistics Specialist plays a key role in keeping our plants, products, and teams moving efficiently between our production facility and retail store. This position supports daily operations through plant transport, shipment handling, facility upkeep, and hands-on project work. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment and enjoys a mix of driving, physical work, and problem-solving. No two days are the same! This individual ensures our plants and materials get where they need to be, when they need to be there.Duties/Responsibilities:
Performs physical tasks such as loading and unloading plant material and hard goods. Transport of plant material, products, and supplies between the production facility and retail store. Assists with shipment processing at the production facility and retail store. Supports outdoor plant care and maintenance at the production facility as needed. Assists with grounds maintenance at the production facility (mowing). Completes light maintenance and construction projects at both the production facility and retail store as needed. Create/follow preventative maintenance schedule. Uses equipment such as forklifts, carts, trailers, and power tools to complete assignments. Operates a motor vehicle, including pulling a trailer, for deliveries and pickups. Exhibits flexibility in response to changing weather conditions and shifting daily priorities. Performs other related duties as assigned.Required Skills/Abilities:
Strong communication skills; able to coordinate across teams using email and radio. Must be good with hand tools and power tools. This position requires a high level of flexibility, as daily tasks, priorities, and work locations may shift based on business needs. Ability to work efficiently and independently while also supporting team needs. Strong attention to detail when handling shipments and inventory. Ability to follow instructions and complete assignments thoroughly.Schedule:
• Flexible schedule required based on operational needs. Standard daytime hours with occasional evening shifts (5:00-7:00 PM) for deliveries, pickups, or store support. Hours will increase seasonally, with peak demand in May-June.Education and Experience:
On-the-job training offered. Related experience preferred.Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and pulling. Must be able to lift and carry weights up to 50 pounds at a time. Must be physically able to operate a motor vehicle and power hand tools. Must be able to work in varying weather conditions and adapt to outdoor environmentsJob Type:
