Job Description

McCody is seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a "jack-of-all-trades" skill set to ensure our premises remain in top condition. Responsibilities include performing routine repairs, troubleshooting mechanical systems, and implementing proactive maintenance to minimize downtime.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 5:00pm Occasional weekends/evenings depending upon scheduled events and maintenance or emergency repairs 50+ hours per week
Essential Roles, Responsibilities, and Duties:
The basic responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician includes, but is not limited to the following: Performing regular and as needed checks and minor repairs regarding the upkeep and aesthetic of: structures; HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems; equipment; machinery; and the grounds to ensure optimal functionality Diagnose, troubleshoot, and fix minor electrical systems, plumbing, electrical circuits, machinery, and structural issues Perform painting, carpentry, lighting repairs, and general repairs to walls, doors, and flooring Inspect building structures and safety equipment, ensuring compliance with all building codes and safety regulations Maintain detailed logs of completed maintenance and repair work; order and maintain an inventory of spare parts and tools Respond quickly to emergency maintenance requests, including after-hours incidents, to ensure safety and security Assist in loading, set-up, tear-down, and storing of materials for events on and off site Clear communication and follow-up with Housekeeping staff to complete joint tasks Communication with contractors regarding outsourced repairs, estimates, timelines, maintenance routines, and warranties Assist Mechanics with minor equipment repairs as needed Sourcing and supply house runs for materials needed company wide Maintaining a clutter-free workplace by delivering packages to appropriate departments and organizing and cleaning frequently used common areas in the shops and yard Mowing, weed-eating, pest and dust control, snow and ice removal and mitigation, and other grounds and parking upkeep tasks Transfer of materials and equipment between locations Delivery of materials to customers Actively participate in monthly Safety Committee meetings
Requirements:
18+ years of age Ability to lift 50+ pounds Pre-employment drug test and background check required We are a Drug Free Workplace. Candidates are subject to pre-employment, random, reasonable suspicion, and post-accident drug and alcohol testing. Candidates must also pass a pre-employment background check. Passing the drug test, background check, and having a suitable Motor Vehicle Record are minimum requirements for this position. Failure to meet the company's standards may result in disqualification from employment. Valid class D drivers license with a 3 year clean driving record for insurance purposes Ability to multitask Ablility to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly and efficiently Strong organizational, and communication skills Ability to take the initiative to increase the quality of one's skills to become more efficient Make good judgment calls when under pressure Knowledge of safety regulations and industry standards Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment Knowledge of load securement for transport Ability to work from ladders and lifts - heights Perk Qualifications (not required): Valid Class B CDL Basic construction knowledge Basic mechanic knowledge
Skills:
Read, write, and speak English Mechanically inclined Basic documentation skills using phone app and paper Ability to interpret documents such as safety rules, user instructions, procedure, operating and maintenance manuals, and engineering specifications Perform mathematical functions pertaining to volumes, quantities, etc. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals Ability to compute ratio and percent Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but involved written or oral instructions Ability to operate equipment and tools involved in daily productions Positive attitude Team-oriented mindset with emphasis on punctuality and reliability
