Maintenance Technician- Job Description
- This role oversees all maintenance activities within the facility, ensuring that equipment, systems, and the building remain safe, reliable, and in optimal working condition. The maintenance technician performs electrical and mechanical maintenance, conducts preventive maintenance on machines, and handles a variety of general repair tasks throughout the building.
- Responsibilities
- + Perform routine and corrective maintenance on building systems and production equipment to minimize downtime and ensure safe operation.
+ Conduct electrical maintenance tasks, including troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of electrical components in an industrial environment. + Carry out preventive maintenance (PMs) on machines according to established schedules and procedures. + Change HVAC filters and perform basic HVAC-related maintenance to support proper functioning of heating and cooling systems. + Complete general facility repairs such as touch-up painting, minor carpentry, and small fixes like repairing a chair leg or other handy work. + Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues involving hydraulics and pneumatics, and perform necessary repairs to restore equipment to service. + Use troubleshooting skills to identify root causes of equipment failures and implement effective solutions. + Assist with boiler-related tasks if experienced, including basic operation and maintenance support, as needed.
- Essential Skills
- + At least 5 years of industrial maintenance experience, working with building systems and production equipment.
+ Minimum of 3 years of electrical experience in an industrial or similar environment. + Strong troubleshooting skills for mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. + Hands-on experience performing preventive maintenance on machines and facility equipment. + Ability to perform basic HVAC maintenance, including changing filters and addressing minor issues. + Proficiency with mechanical repair tasks, including working with hydraulics and pneumatics. + Capability to perform general handy work such as minor carpentry, painting, and small repairs. + Ability to read and follow instructions, maintenance procedures, and basic technical information.
- Additional Skills & Qualifications
- + At least 1 year of boiler experience is preferred but not required. + Interest in obtaining a boiler license while employed, with support from the company. + Experience working in an industrial laundry or similar production environment is a plus. + Comfort working in a non-climate-controlled facility.

The environment requires appropriate work attire suitable for an industrial setting, with an emphasis on safety gear and practical clothing that can handle exposure to heat, humidity, and occasional dirt or dust.

- Pay and Benefits
- The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
