Job Description:
We are seeking a dependable and skilled Property Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections to ensure our properties remain safe, clean, and well-maintained. Duties include basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, grounds maintenance, and responding to tenant or management maintenance requests. Candidates should have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. Job Duties/Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and maintenance of residential properties, including homes and units. Conduct repairs on plumbing systems, including fixing leaks, unclogging drains, and replacing fixtures as needed. Address electrical issues such as replacing outlets, fixing wiring, and troubleshooting basic electrical problems. Perform drywall repairs, including patching holes, sanding, and painting to restore surfaces to their original condition. Respond promptly to maintenance requests from tenants or property owners and resolve issues efficiently. Inspect and repair appliances, heating systems, and other household equipment as necessary. Maintain an inventory of tools and supplies required for maintenance tasks and ensure they are in good working condition. Collaborate with property landlords to prioritize repairs and schedule maintenance activities. Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety standards and local building codes. Perform general upkeep tasks such as replacing light bulbs, fixing doors or locks, and addressing any wear and tear in the property. Qualifications & Requirements Proficiency in plumbing, including the ability to repair leaks, replace fixtures, and troubleshoot system issues. Working knowledge of electrical systems and the ability to perform basic repairs and troubleshooting. Experience in drywall installation, patching, sanding, and painting. Familiarity with tools and equipment commonly used in property maintenance and repair work. Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in various environmental conditions. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail to identify and address maintenance issues effectively. Good communication skills to interact with tenants, property owners, and other team members. Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently to complete tasks in a timely manner.
