Open Until Filled See attached job description The District is anticipating an opening in our Maintenance Department for a Grounds & Outdoor Facilities Technician. Assigned responsibilities of the position will involve performing job tasks which may include, but are not limited to: district mowing operations, athletic field and outdoor facility maintenance, general upkeep of district grounds including landscaping and flower bed maintenance, lawn fertilizer and chemical application, irrigation monitoring and basic repair, event setup and support for district activities and facilities, snow removal and ice control, operation and maintenance of grounds equipment and machinery. Job duties performed may vary, based on departmental needs. Position responsibilities may require occasional early morning, evening, weekend, and overtime hours, particularly during snow and ice events, emergency situations, or district activities. Employees must be available to respond to weather-related operations, including snow removal and facility access preparation, as needed. Applicants must be able to perform physical work outdoors year-round in varying weather conditions, including high temperatures, cold temperatures, precipitation, and other challenging environmental conditions. Applicants should be able to perform moderately heavy to heavy manual activities, safely operate equipment and machinery, effectively use materials and supplies, and carry out both oral and written directions. Experience with grounds maintenance, landscaping, lawn care, fertilizer/chemical application, or athletic facility maintenance is preferred. A valid driver's license is required. The selected candidate must obtain and maintain any required lawn chemical, fertilizer, and pesticide applicator licenses/certifications as required for the position.
