Full Job Description Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Maintenance Helper to join our team. This role supports the maintenance department in ensuring the safe, efficient, and continuous operation of recycling equipment and facilities. The ideal candidate is a hands-on worker who takes pride in keeping equipment and the workplace in excellent condition.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist maintenance technicians with routine equipment inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance tasks. Perform basic troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems under supervision. Clean, lubricate, and maintain machinery and equipment according to safety and maintenance standards. Assist in unloading, moving, and organizing materials, tools, and equipment. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment inside and outside the facility. Report equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or needed repairs to the maintenance supervisor. Support other departments with minor maintenance tasks as required.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Prior experience in maintenance, manufacturing, or recycling operations is a plus. Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn. Ability to lift 50 lbs or more and perform physical labor. Strong attention to safety and detail. Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment. Flexible schedule and willingness to work overtime as needed. #

$25.00 per hour
