Job Summary:
As the Weekend Facilities Operations Technician, you will help create a welcoming, person-centered resident experience while ensuring the community remains safe, clean, and fully operational. This role combines facility maintenance, custodial support, groundskeeping, apartment turnover preparation, and technology support. This position requires a self-motivated individual who can prioritize effectively, adapt to changing needs, and exercise sound judgment. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who takes ownership of their work and follows through with minimal direction.
Ket Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive building maintenance including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, appliance repair, and apartment turnovers (painting, drywall, fixtures, lock changes, and cleaning). Complete custodial and groundskeeping duties including floor care, sanitation, landscaping, snow removal, and upkeep of indoor/outdoor common areas. Conduct regular inspections and respond to work orders to identify, prioritize, and resolve safety, maintenance, and operational issues. Monitor life safety systems and ensure compliance with health, fire, and safety standards while maintaining accurate records and inventory. Support overall facility operations including vendor coordination, equipment upkeep, emergency/on-call response, and collaboration with staff and residents.
Requirements:
Education and Experience High school diploma or GED required; vocational training or skilled trade certification preferred. 2+ years of general building maintenance experience, preferably in residential, healthcare, or senior living environments. Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building systems. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently. Good communication and interpersonal skills, with sensitivity to the needs of older adults. Ability to perform physical work including lifting to 50 lbs. and standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing ladders, and other physical tasks for extended periods. Saturdays and Sundays, 10:00 AM to 3:00
PM Rate:
$21.00
