Facilities Maintenance Technician Job Description Position Overview:

We are seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician responsible for the upkeep, repair, and maintenance of building systems and infrastructure. This role focuses on ensuring the facility remains safe, functional, and well-maintained, with no direct involvement in production or manufacturing equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform general building maintenance including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems Conduct routine inspections of the facility to identify maintenance needs Repair and maintain lighting, outlets, fixtures, doors, windows, and flooring Troubleshoot and resolve facility-related issues such as leaks, electrical faults, and structural repairs Complete preventative maintenance on building systems (HVAC filters, minor plumbing, etc.) Perform basic carpentry, painting, drywall repair, and general upkeep Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner Maintain exterior areas including grounds, walkways, and general cleanliness Monitor and maintain maintenance inventory and order supplies as needed Document work orders, repairs, and inspections accurately Ensure compliance with all safety standards and building codes Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required 3+ years of facilities or building maintenance experience preferred Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general repair Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Basic understanding of safety procedures and building maintenance standards Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Bayonne, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
