Junior Sign Designer & Installer

About the Role Are you a creative who hates being stuck behind a desk? We are looking for a Junior Sign Designer & Installer to join our team. This is a unique role where you will take a project from the initial digital concept all the way to the physical installation. You'll spend part of your day in Adobe Illustrator and the other part out in the field using your hands to bring brands to life across New Jersey. Key Responsibilities Design & Production Create vector designs for wide-format printing and vinyl cutting using Adobe Illustrator. Communicate with clients to refine proofs and ensure brand consistency. Operate and maintain wide-format printers, laminators, and vinyl plotters. Prepare "cut files" and "weed" vinyl for application. Installation & Field Work Apply vinyl graphics to various substrates, including windows, walls, and vehicles. Perform site surveys (taking accurate measurements and photos) at client locations. Install non-electrical signage using hand and power tools (drills, Levels, ladders). What We're Looking For (Requirements)

The Design Eye:

Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator is a must. You should understand layers, paths, and vector points. The "Maker"

Mindset:

You enjoy working with your hands and have basic experience with power tools.

Detail Oriented:

You can read a tape measure down to the 1/16th and notice a bubble in vinyl from five feet away.

Physically Active:

Ability to climb ladders, lift up to 50 lbs, and work outdoors in various NJ weather conditions.

Reliable Transport:

A valid Driver's License is required for traveling to installation sites.

Education:

A degree or certificate in Graphic Design, Industrial Design, or a graduate of a NJ Vocational-Technical program (e.g., MCVTS, PCTI) is a huge plus.

$20.00 - $24.00 per hour
