Residential Service & Installer Entry Level - Garage Door & Opener Systems

Overhead Door Co of Central Jersey is hiring service technicians & installers for our residential service & installation division.

• Previous Construction or Maintenance Experience Required.
• The technicians & installers may work in any type of location on client premises.

This individual performs maintenance on various types of garage doors and openers.

Technicians & Installer Job Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED preferred, not required
• Valid Driver's License to drive company vehicle
• Must have personal reliable transportation to Branchburg, NJ every morning
• At least 2 years of construction or trade experience
• Tool Knowledge Required A successful Technician & Installer will:
• Take direction from a lead installer/technician
• Maintain, repair, and install various types of garage doors as well as openers
• Maintain, repair and install various electrical components of the entry system (motor, photo eyes)
• Take direction from the field supervisor and residential service coordinator
• Use power tools in a safe manner
• Be courteous to residential customers
• Fill out necessary details for a service ticket
• Inspect client site for safety concerns
• Complies with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures
• May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

• Ability to communicate with co-workers and other departments with professionalism and respect
• Ability to maintain a professional relationship with all coworkers, vendor representatives, supervisors, managers, customers and client representatives.

Technician & Installer Physical Requirements:

• Clean drug tests
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull
