Full-Time About Us Blackstone Realty Management is a growing property management company overseeing luxury and market-rate multifamily communities throughout East Orange, New Jersey. We are seeking a reliable, skilled, and motivated Maintenance Technician / Handyman to join our maintenance team. Responsibilities Complete resident service requests and work orders in a timely and professional manner. Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance, carpentry, drywall, painting, and general maintenance issues. Perform apartment turnovers, including repairs, painting, cleaning coordination, and punch-list completion. Conduct routine inspections of building systems, common areas, and grounds. Assist with preventive maintenance programs. Maintain hallways, stairwells, mechanical rooms, storage areas, and exterior grounds in a clean and safe condition. Respond to maintenance emergencies and participate in the on-call rotation as required. Assist with snow removal, salting, and other seasonal property needs. Communicate professionally with residents, vendors, and management staff. Document completed work orders and maintenance activities accurately. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of experience in residential or commercial building maintenance. Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, drywall, painting, and carpentry. HVAC experience is a plus. Ability to diagnose and resolve maintenance issues independently. Experience working in occupied multifamily communities preferred. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required. Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physical work, including climbing stairs and ladders. Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of accountability and professionalism. Preferred Skills Appliance troubleshooting and repair. Basic locksmith skills. Tile repair and installation. Preventive maintenance planning. Work order management systems (AppFolio experience is a plus). Strong customer service and communication skills.
