Maintenance Technician

POSITION SUMMARY

The maintenance technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing all machines and equipment in the plant following the recommended specifications explicitly designed by the machine manufacturer.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Prepare a daily, weekly, monthly annual schedule of maintenance for all equipment inside the facility. Communicate directly with manufacturer technicians when equipment fails. Diagnose problems and efficiently work on breakdowns quickly for limited equipment and operator down time. Perform cleaning and maintenance. Maintain clean and orderly work site. Comply with safety rules and procedures established by the Company. Comply with PCI Security standards and obey explicit rules of the High Security Areas Perform any other task assigned by their immediate supervisor. Assist security personnel in any job specific capacity as needed. Strict adherence to process, regulations, safety mandates, and work scheduling. Ability to learn and follow S.O.P.'s, without deviation.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Ability to effectively communicate with peers and management. Follow maintenance schedules as provided by various machine manufacturers and specifications. Write clearly and in a concise manner on all forms and documents. Previous experience of electrical and mechanical components

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or higher education required. Previous mechanical abilities are highly preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
