Maintenance Mechanic Elizabeth, NJ Compensation Includes Starting Pay Rate of $32.34/hour Overview Responsible for maintaining facility and industrial maintenance. Maintaining, repairing and rebuilding various production machines and equipment. Responsible for the set up and use of tools and equipment before production use in order to ensure the optimum level of safety. Familiar with a variety of the production floor's concepts, practices and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Responsibilities Performs scheduled preventive maintenance on all production machinery and facility related equipment Performs troubleshooting and evaluation of damaged machinery and equipment to determine appropriate repair method in the safest means possible Populates and closes out work orders with pertinent information related to the repair including materials used, root cause analysis, & total downtime Provide safe general facility maintenance and repair Provide safe modifications and upgrades/rebuilds to production equipment Responsible for reading, understanding and interpretation of blueprints, sketches and drawings and machine manuals Actively participate in assigned safety related initiatives Shop work - rebuilding pneumatic components and mechanical assemblies Maintain a clean and organized work area Other duties as assigned by management Qualifications 3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment Proficient with all hand and power tools Effective communicator Must be able to lift 50 lbs Basic computer skills with MS Excel, Word and Outlook Email Strong Electrical/Electronic, Mechanical, & Pneumatic skills Experience with 3 phase and high voltage electrical systems Experience working with AC and DC drives Experience with chillers, air compressors, HVAC systems, and boilers
