Our client is seeking a reliable and hands-on Maintenance Service Technician to support the daily operation, maintenance, repair, and upkeep of a portfolio of commercial properties. This role is ideal for an individual with strong building maintenance experience and a commitment to providing exceptional service while maintaining safe, functional, and well-maintained facilities.Responsibilities:
Perform general building maintenance and repairs, including minor carpentry, painting, drywall repairs, door hardware, ceiling tiles, and other handyman tasks. Respond to tenant service requests in a timely and professional manner while communicating repair status and follow-up needs. Conduct routine inspections of building interiors, exteriors, common areas, parking lots, and mechanical spaces to identify and address maintenance issues. Assist with basic HVAC, plumbing, and electrical maintenance, including filter changes, fixture repairs, lighting replacements, and minor troubleshooting. Coordinate with vendors and contractors by providing site access, monitoring work progress, and confirming completion of services. Support preventive maintenance programs through scheduled inspections, equipment checks, and recurring maintenance tasks. Respond to emergency maintenance situations, including leaks, power issues, alarm calls, storm damage, and other urgent property concerns.Requirements:
3-5 years of experience in building maintenance, facilities maintenance, property maintenance, construction, or a related field. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve common building maintenance issues. Working knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general repair techniques. Experience using work order management systems and maintaining accurate maintenance records. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple assignments effectively. Ability to lift and carry materials, use ladders safely, and perform physical maintenance work in various indoor and outdoor environments.
