Pool Technician

We are actively seeking a Pool Technician for a local pool company, based in Long Valley, NJ. If you like working outdoors, enjoy hands-on work, and want a job where you can learn a real trade, this is a great opportunity. No experience required — training & development provided to the right person. You'll help maintain and service residential swimming pools by keeping water clean, balanced, and safe, while learning the fundamentals of pool equipment and troubleshooting. What You'll Do Clean and maintain swimming pools (skim, brush, vacuum, empty baskets) Test and balance pool water chemistry (chlorine, pH, alkalinity, etc.) Add and handle pool chemicals safely (training provided) Inspect pool equipment (filters, pumps, heaters) and report issues Perform basic maintenance tasks (filter cleans, minor part replacements) Communicate professionally with customers on-site Keep service notes and follow a route schedule Assist with installing liners What We're Looking For Reliable and on-time — this is a route-based job and consistency matters Comfortable working outdoors in heat/cold and around water Able to lift 50 lbs and perform physical work (bending, kneeling, walking) Willing to learn and take direction (you'll be taught the trade) Nice to Have (Not Required) Any experience in pool service, landscaping, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, or electrical Customer service experience (retail, delivery, field service) What You'll Get Paid training and clear growth path (Tech → Lead Tech) Consistent hours and local routes Supportive small-team environment (no corporate nonsense) Potential for raises/bonuses as you learn more skills
