POSITION SUMMARY
Under minimal supervision, assists the Building and Grounds Director in maintaining the overall operation, safety and cleanliness of all YMCA buildings, grounds and vehicles. Responding with urgency to all requests for maintenance or cleaning in a safe manner with a focus on quality service. Works as a member of the camps team to meet the needs of our campers, staff and participants. Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment for staff, campers and members while performing all tasks. Position is full-time Tuesday
Overtime available as needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Strive to maintain YMCA properties in a safe and clean condition to create the environment for participants to thrive. 2. Ensure that all maintenance requests are handled in a professional manner and are completed on time. 3. Manage and maintain the work orders assigned to you in a timely manner. 4. Always be aware of and fix any potential risk management issue you see around the property. If you see it fix it or report it. 5. Follow established guidelines for cleaning and mixing chemicals
- PPE, labeling, storage etc. 6. General facilities maintenance
- trouble shooting, plumbing, electrical, carpentry and cleanliness.
7. Actively participate in and administer preventative maintenance program. 8. Participate with other members of management in the YMCA's fund raising efforts. 9. Attend meetings and trainings as scheduled and assigned. 10. Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

): 1. High school diploma or GED 2. Must be 21 years of age or older 3. Must have Three years' experience in related field. 4. Must have basic computer skills. 5. Must be well-groomed and have good communication skills. 6. Ability to drive and a current unrestricted drivers' license with a clean driving record so as to gain approval by the insurance carrier. 7. Able to be a problem solver and have a working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry and other maintenance related areas. 8. Experience in handling power tools and chain saws.
WORKING CONDITIONS
1. Ability to work in excess of a 40-hour per week with irregular work hours. 2. Ability to walk, stand, and sit (including on the floor) for long periods of time. 3. Must be able to lift and carry supplies weighing up to 50 pounds. 4. Ability to stand or sit while maintaining alertness for several hours at a time. 5. Position may require bending, leaning, kneeling, and walking. 6. Ability to work in adverse weather conditions including rain and snow. 7. The YMCA of the Pines is a smoke and tobacco free facility and property. 8. Visual and auditory ability to respond to critical situations and physical ability to act swiftly in an emergency. 9. Ability to respond to safety and emergency situations on a 24/7 basis.

The Maintenance Technician fills a vital role for The YMCA of the Pines to keep the property safe and clean.
