Impact you'll drive Break-fix mastery and PM excellence across mechanical and electrical equipment; design enhancements for complex systems within your specialty. Deep-dive PLC and controls work—programming, troubleshooting, and analysis—to eliminate software, hardware, and configuration faults. Predict failures before they happen using IR thermography, ultrasonics, power quality analyzers, laser interferometry, ball bar testing, and vibration analysis. Lead or contribute to CI projects, using proven methods to capture process gains and cost reductions. Source and qualify parts; recommend engineered alternatives to increase reliability and performance. Execute maintenance aligned to industry standards; uphold 5S and high housekeeping standards. Operate machining tools (lathe, drill press, grinder, other metalworking tools) to fabricate/repair; perform welding as needed. Scout new methods and tools; recommend adoption across ATS sites and keep documentation current. Feed accurate data into cost analyses for new equipment, repair/rebuild options, savings, and innovations. Maintain and analyze CMMS history to inform better maintenance strategies. Support sales with technical quotation content; perform T&M tasks as needed. Coach junior technicians and, when assigned, act as project manager. Engage in OJT and self-directed study to expand your expertise. Follow all safety policies, procedures, and technical instructions; practice situational awareness to spot and address unsafe behaviors and conditions. Qualifications High School Graduate or GED. Associate degree (technical) plus 7+ years in the specific industry, or 10+ years of industry experience. Skilled in predictive technologies (vibration analysis or laser interferometer operations), precision alignments, and process equipment maintenance. Solid command of electrical, mechanical, fluid power, and control systems; capable of diagnosing issues, developing options, and executing repairs. Proficient with hand and specialized tools; ability to travel when required. Six Sigma experience preferred.
