Integrity House operates 16 licensed treatment programs across New Jersey as well as community outreach and prevention programs, and serves over 3,000 individuals every year. We are excited to announce our Maintenance Technician opening in Secaucus, NJ! The Maintenance Technician serves as a member of Integrity's facilities committee providing support across all agency sites. The role involves performing preventative and corrective maintenance on building systems, equipment, grounds, vehicle fleet, and collaboration with stakeholders. Primary Duties and Responsibilities of a
Maintenance Technician :
1. Facility & System Maintenance Perform routine repairs in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and painting for agency facilities. Execute preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, including filter changes and minor troubleshooting. Respond to emergency repair requests from staff to minimize disruptions to patient care and employee experience. Respond to urgent after-hours issues such as major plumbing leaks, power failures, or heating/cooling outages. Respond to triggered fire alarms or security system failures to ensure safety. 2. Fleet Management Conduct safety inspections and routine maintenance (oil changes, fluid checks, etc.) on agency vehicles. Maintain detailed vehicle logs and schedule major repairs with outside vendors. Ensure all vehicles are reliable for transporting residents and staff. 3. Safety & Compliance Inspect life safety equipment, including fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, and emergency lighting. Ensure all work complies with OSHA standards, and other healthcare regulatory requirements—specifically Department of Health, and Commission of Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). Manage groundskeeping tasks, such as snow removal and debris clearing, to maintain safe access for all. 4. Operations & Logistics Respond to all tickets submitted same day with action items, and/or scheduled maintenance. Lead and oversee clients for vocational assignments, providing on-the-job training in basic maintenance skills (i.e. painting, landscaping, simple repairs, and vehicle detailing), and proper use of hand tools, personal protective equipment, and overall workplace safety. Travel between multiple sites to manage work orders and site inspections. Coordinate with third-party vendors for specialized services (i.e. fire inspection, HVAC, electrical, roofing, etc.) Assist in setting up rooms or furniture for clinical programs and special functions. 5. All other tasks as assigned by supervisor(s).
Required Education, Experience and Licensing:
HS Diploma or Equivalent, required. 1-5 years in general building maintenance, required. Experience in a healthcare or residential setting is preferred. Proficiency with hand/power tools (i.e. impact drills, saws, grinders, hydraulic jacks, fluid drain pans, non-contact voltage testers, etc.) and basic knowledge of building codes. Valid NJ Driver's License in good standing CPR Certificate, must obtain within 30 days of hire and maintain throughout employment. Narcan Training, must obtain within 30 days of hire and maintain throughout employment. A valid
