Maintenance Technician

Job Overview:

Maintenance Technician We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and possess mechanical knowledge and experience in machine maintenance. This role requires a proactive approach to maintaining equipment and systems, ensuring optimal performance and safety. The Maintenance Technician will work closely with other team members to troubleshoot issues and implement effective solutions. This position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor. Compensation based on experience. Duties Perform routine preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment, ensuring they operate efficiently.

Typical manufacturing equipment:

forklifts, welding machines, press brakes, CNC lasers, turrets, drill presses, etc. Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues. Read and interpret equipment manuals and schematics. Develop a Preventative Maintenance plan to organize and schedule maintenance. Maintain and manage tool and spare part inventories. Identify critical spares and consumables. Repair or replace faulty components in machinery. Maintain accurate records of maintenance work performed. Is a stakeholder in ISO, OSHA, LO/TO, etc. programs. Assist in facilities maintenance duties. Perform other duties as assigned including cleaning of machines. Requirements Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in maintenance roles. Familiarity with and the ability to interpret technical drawings. Must be very organized. Experience in facilities maintenance, including general repairs and upkeep tasks. Fluent in English, both written and verbal. A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and a commitment to safety standards. Self-starter - Able to prioritize and create their own work schedule. Does not need to be constantly instructed on what to do. 1 year minimum mechanical repair related experience in a manufacturing facility or equivalent combination of education and experience.
