Job Title:
Industrial Maintenance Mechanic Job Description Join our team as an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic where you will ensure the smooth operation of machinery and equipment within our facility. Your expertise in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems will be crucial in maintaining the integrity and functionality of various components and devices. Responsibilities Ensure safe operation of machinery and components, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Use hand and power tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, along with precision measuring instruments and testing devices. Troubleshoot equipment problems by observing systems in operation and using precision measuring and testing instruments. Dismantle devices to remove defective parts using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools. Inspect and adjust dimensional requirements of parts using rulers, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments. Adjust functional parts of devices and controls using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges. Assist other maintenance personnel with emergency and non-emergency repairs. Inspect motors and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, and perform other maintenance actions following procedures. Perform various welding activities, including MIG, TIG, ARC, cutting, and brazing. Repair, maintain, install, and troubleshoot industrial equipment, systems, and components, including washers, dryers, steam tunnels, conveyor systems, and boilers. Manage preventive/predictive maintenance, resolve safety concerns, and maintain an industrial laundry facility. Perform indoor and outdoor housekeeping duties. Conduct boiler chemical testing, record results, and make necessary chemistry adjustments. Perform daily and weekly safety checks on boilers and make necessary repairs. Record and analyze meter readings of gas, electric, and water, taking corrective actions where appropriate. Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of location equipment according to work procedures or technical manuals. Essential Skills Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting. PLC troubleshooting. Industrial maintenance mechanics. Building maintenance. HVAC systems. Welding techniques. Repair and maintenance of industrial equipment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to pass a mechanical test. Experience in boiler chemical testing and safety checks. Proficiency in recording and analyzing meter readings. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Union, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $54080.00 - $70720.00/yr.
