Job Description

Second Shift Maintenance Technician Black Rock is seeking a Plant Maintenance Technician to support the operation, maintenance, and reliability of aggregate processing equipment at our quarry operations. This position is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving crushers, conveyors, feeders, screens, chutes, pulleys, flashing, hoppers, and related production equipment. The ideal candidate is hands-on, mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and capable of working independently to minimize downtime and maintain efficient plant operations. Job Summary The Plant Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in maintaining the continuous operation of Black Rock's aggregate processing facilities. This position focuses on identifying and resolving equipment issues, performing preventative maintenance, replacing wear components, repairing material handling systems, and supporting production crews during plant operations. The successful candidate will work closely with plant operators and supervisors to ensure equipment reliability, maximize production efficiency, and maintain a safe work environment. What We're Looking For Minimum 3 years of industrial, mining, quarry, aggregate, asphalt plant, or related maintenance experience preferred. Knowledge of conveyor systems, crushers, screens, feeders, and material handling equipment. Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, cutting equipment, and maintenance equipment. Ability to read and follow maintenance procedures. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and to work within a team. Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship. Ability to perform basic recordkeeping. Reliable with a strong work ethic. Ability to work outdoors and lift up to 50 lbs.
