Non-ExemptThe Facilities and Aquatics Technician will preserve the excellent condition and functionality of Defined Fitness locations. Duties will include submitting a weekly schedule of locations visited and priorities, conducting quality assessments, scheduling repairs, maintaining inventory and developing preventative maintenance procedures. The ideal candidate will be a jack-of-all-trades, with in-depth knowledge of maintenance procedures, hydraulic systems and basic tools and appliances. You must be an outstanding problem-solver with exceptional communication and organizational skills.

Independent Project-oriented Problem solver Responsible Adaptable Attentive Essential Functions & ResponsibilitiesAssisting the Maintenance and Facilitates in keeping proper daily Equipment PM log.

Maintain and adequate supply of equipment parts to make repairs in a reasonable timeframe Making sure the techs maintain and organize tool boxes and tech rooms Report conditions of equipment and any building or landscaping concerns to the Techs/Operation manager/General Managers Before involving District Managers.

Produce an End of Day report for each club (2 clubs per day more if possible ) and email to District managers Assist District managers when assistance is requiredAssist in picking up and delivering parts from vendors when neededAssist in addressing issues related to broken equipment when neededInspect buildings, equipment and systems to identify and correct any issues Repair faulty equipment units and damaged structures Develop and implement preventative maintenance procedures Manage heating, plumbing and electrical systems to guarantee functionality Conduct periodic quality checks on equipment and systems to ensure everything is up to standard Perform general maintenance tasks including landscaping, painting, etc. Maintain the inventory records for equipment and supplies Responsible for the daily and safe operations of the Maintenance Department. Oversee the repair or replacement of equipment and systems, all facilities maintenance as required. To ensure maximum productivity and efficiencies associated with maintenance while supporting the policies, goals and objectives of the company.

Communicates regularly with all members of in club Leadership Team, both individually and as a team, to ensure good two-way communication concerning maintenance issues.

Will work alongside the Operations Manager/ General Manager on ordering of all equipment parts, sanitary supplies, maintenance supplies, and related items using the Company approved purchase order system.

Monitors operation and use of all equipment and systems.

Initiate maintenance and safety programs for a variety of facility equipmentBe responsible for the preventative maintenance of machinery may include HVACOversee the cleanliness of our gyms as well as inspecting that locker rooms, wet areas, and all amenities provided at the club are being serviced and cleaned by our Detail Team Members.

Keep compliant and aware of all changes with regulatory agencies like OSHADemonstrate awareness and knowledge of all emergency proceduresManage all aspects of the buildings, exterior grounds, equipment, inventory overall facilityProcess and oversee deliveries,
Example:
Shamrock, New Equipment, etc. Plan and schedule facility modifications, including cost estimates for the facility with appropriate timelines. Deliver accurate and timely weekly and daily reports of Cardio, Free Weights, Selectorized Equipment, etc (PM Checklist) Perform general building maintenance repairs, i.e., plumbing, electrical, HVAC, general carpentry, painting, drywall repair, locks, and preventative maintenance (PM) work BOTH Exterior and Interior.

Maintain pool, spa, wet & dry saunaAccurate reporting on Pool and Hot tub Logs, and making sure Chemicals and PH Levels are in the appropriate range. Basic repair/maintenance of HVAC systems, electrical, and plumbing equipment.

Perform carpentry repair duties.

Inspect heating and air conditioning equipment, sprinkler systems, and fire protection devices to ensure proper operation.

Replace overhead lamps in both incandescent and fluorescent overhead lighting fixtures and replace lighting ballasts as necessaryPlan and paint large areas within the gym, including touch up painting when necessary.

Maintain Facility C.O.R.E. Ticketing System to reflect

tickets for maintenance and repair requests and work orders.

Attend and be on time for OM and Tech Weekly Meetings. Maintain an organized facilities and janitorial room. Aquatics Area ResponsibilitiesResponsible for ensuring the Maintenance Techs keep proper chemical logs for the pools/spas, and correct any problems Ensuring the pools/spas are vacuumed and kept free of dirt and debris by the techs/OM . Making sure the chemicals and tools for the pool are fully stocked and put in a secure locationResponding to pool inspections and emergencies while on shift and communicating with management Assisting in contacting vendors for orders and having the techs keep a log book of current ordersMaking sure the techs maintain and organize pump and chemical roomsQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent qualification A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role In-depth knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems Advanced understanding of general maintenance procedures and techniques PC literate, including Microsoft Office and various other products Must have a valid New Mexico drivers license (with acceptable driving record) and own means of transportation (registered and insured) Physically capable and available to work overtime including weekends, public holidays, and evenings Effective problem-solving abilities Must be well- organized and have the ability to prioritize tasks Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology or relevant field, preferred Physical RequirementsMust be able to sit/stand for extended periodsMust be able to lift and carry approximately 50 poundsMust be able to perform the following tasks: walk, squat, bend, stoop, stand, listen, read and write This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties that will be performed by the team member occupying this position.
