Maintenance Tech Summary:
To plan, coordinate control, and perform, Facility Maintenance operations within a specified portion (Zone) of PHS-A facilities, as they currently exist, and provide for an uninterrupted flow of utilities based upon existing design criteria. Major emphasis shall be placed upon preventative and predictive maintenance. The Mechanic shall be capable of working with little or no supervision, and limited direction from specialized trades.

Responsibilities:
Presbyterian is seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to perform scheduled preventative maintenance on fixtures and equipment within an assigned Zone, ensuring all work aligns with Facility Services SOPs. This role carries primary responsibility for repairing, lubricating, and adjusting hospital equipment to maintain a safe and comfortable environment. The technician will independently prioritize tasks , monitor the performance of building and utility systems, and uphold all PHS and departmental policies. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning through training and in‑service programs, as well as an understanding of departmental budgets with the ability to recommend cost‑saving measures. Additional responsibilities include serving as a maintenance resource for departments within the Zone, supporting organizational values and strategies, conducting daily rounds, maintaining and replacing filters, and performing other duties as assigned. This position is eligible for the Northern New Mexico differential of $4.00 per hour. (This differential may be adjusted or discontinued based on business requirements.)
Qualifications:
High School Diploma and preferably, Trade or Vocational School. At least 3 to 5 years of general maintenance or specialized mechanical trade experience preferably in Healthcare industry.
