Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of all facility systems and equipment. This role requires a strong background in mechanical and electrical maintenance, along with the ability to troubleshoot and repair various systems. The Maintenance Technician will play a key role in maintaining a safe and efficient working environment. Duties Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery, equipment, and facilities. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and electrical systems. Conduct welding tasks as needed for repairs and modifications. Read and interpret schematics to diagnose problems effectively. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System). Oversee facilities maintenance tasks, ensuring compliance with safety standards. Provide leadership and supervision to junior maintenance staff when required. Assist with residential painting projects as part of facility upkeep. Deliver excellent customer service while interacting with other departments or external vendors. Qualifications Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in manufacturing environments preferred. Proficiency in electrical systems and troubleshooting techniques. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus. Experience in welding and fabrication techniques. Ability to read schematics and technical drawings accurately. Previous experience in facilities maintenance is essential. Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise team members effectively. Excellent customer service skills, demonstrating professionalism in all interactions. Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication. Familiarity with using an ohmmeter for electrical testing is desirable.
