Building Maintenance Technician (Part-Time)

Job description: We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Building Maintenance Technician for a part-time opportunity. This role is ideal for someone who can work independently, troubleshoot maintenance issues, and support the overall upkeep of the facility. Requirements Valid OSHA Card (required) Previous building maintenance or repair experience Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Reliable transportation and attendance Job Responsibilities Perform general building maintenance and repair work Conduct grounds maintenance and minor facility repairs Replace lighting, ballasts, bulbs/lamps, and clean light fixtures Troubleshoot and repair basic plumbing issues Assist with cubicle and furniture moves Maintain and repair yellow carts Paint walls and complete patchwork as needed Repair floor cracks Lubricate doors and conveyors Complete monthly facility inspections, including: Generator runs Dock door inspections Emergency exit signs Emergency eyewash stations Fire extinguisher inspections Conduct contractor and visitor site walk-throughs Perform visual inspections on swamp coolers and replace components as needed, including water shut-off valves and water pumps Assist with AC filter changes Follow all OSHA, Department of Public Health, and Risk Management safety guidelines Support a safe, clean, and efficient work environment Perform additional duties as assigned Preferred Skills Experience with facility maintenance in warehouse or industrial environments Basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC knowledge Strong attention to detail and safety procedures

Experience:

Facility maintenance / industrial maintenance: 5 years (Required)

License/Certification:

HVAC, OSHA, forklift, or maintenance certifications (Preferred) Shift availability: Day Shift (Preferred)
