The (USA) Developmental Technician, General Facilities Maintenance, performs routine preventive maintenance and minor repairs on facility equipment and fixtures under supervision. This role involves inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing various systems including electrical, plumbing, and carpentry to ensure safety, functionality, and compliance with regulations. The technician supports maintenance schedules, documents activities, and assists with parts management while collaborating with team members to meet business needs. The Facilities Maintenance team is dedicated to ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable operation of Walmart's facilities through preventive maintenance and timely repairs. What you'll do: Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure safety, functionality, and appearance of facilities equipment and fixtures. Inspect, clean, and repair equipment under supervision, documenting maintenance activities and signs of wear. Conduct minor repairs using multiple craft skills including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry. Diagnose issues by inspecting and testing equipment, utilizing blueprints and repair manuals as needed. Respond to emergency maintenance calls and document repair work accurately. Assist with work orders, parts requests, and maintenance logs while complying with safety and regulatory standards. Collaborate with team members to improve processes and support quality maintenance outcomes. What you'll bring: Proven experience in facility repair and maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry skills. Ability to perform routine preventive maintenance and minor repairs following established schedules and guidelines. Proficiency in diagnosing equipment issues using blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs. Strong commitment to ethical standards, integrity, and compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Effective collaboration and communication skills to support team objectives and customer needs. Capability to document maintenance activities accurately and manage related administrative tasks. Adaptability to new tools, processes, and continuous improvement initiatives. Walmart. The hourly wage range for this position is $16.00 - $28.00•The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances.
