Job Description

Are you a problem-solver with a knack for mechanics and a love for the Big Apple? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join the New York City Hotel Talent team, right in the heart of the city that never sleeps! Our maintenance team is the backbone of our operation, ensuring everything runs smoothly for our guests. Who You Are You've had experience in a hotel or related field, although it's not a deal-breaker. You've got a High School diploma or equivalent under your belt. Perhaps you're licensed in a trade such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, etc. You hold a valid driver's license for the state of New York. What You'll Be Doing As a part of our dynamic team, you will: Assist with operation, maintenance, and equipment repair, ensuring our hotel always looks its best. Perform preventative maintenance for guest rooms (including vinyl repair, touch-up paint, minor furniture repair, tile repairs) and key areas such as ice machines, refrigerators, kitchen equipment, laundry machines, HVAC guestrooms, meeting rooms, the swimming pool, and the hot tub. Take charge of plumbing repair, laundry equipment maintenance, and preventative maintenance on all exhaust fans and supplies. Follow up on any alarms to determine their exact location and cause, assessing emergency status and reporting to the Front Desk with your findings. Complete other tasks/jobs as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
Availability needed:
3 shifts at 3 pm
  • 10 pm/ 2 shifts 10 pm
  • 6 am or 11 pm
  • 7 am Our hotel is just steps away from some of New York's iconic landmarks.
