Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and versatile Building Maintenance Technician/Grounds Keeper to ensure the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of our facilities. This energetic role involves performing routine maintenance, repairs, and groundskeeping tasks to create a welcoming and well-maintained environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, general maintenance experience, and the ability to handle diverse facility responsibilities with enthusiasm and professionalism. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team dedicated to maintaining high standards of safety and appearance across our property. Duties Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on building systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical equipment. Maintain grounds by mowing lawns, trimming shrubs, planting flowers, removing debris, and ensuring outdoor spaces are safe and visually appealing. Respond promptly to maintenance requests from residents or staff with excellent customer service skills while maintaining a positive attitude. Inspect facilities regularly for safety hazards or maintenance needs; perform residential painting or minor welding repairs as required. Maintain inventory of tools, parts, and supplies necessary for ongoing maintenance tasks. Qualifications Experience in facilities maintenance with knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical troubleshooting, schematics reading, and welding techniques is a plus. Excellent communication skills in English; able to clearly document work activities and communicate effectively with team members and residents. Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics accurately; experience with facilities management in residential or commercial settings is advantageous. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining high standards of safety and quality. Physical capability to perform manual tasks such as lifting heavy objects (50lbs+), operating power tools, climbing ladders, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
