As a Part Time Maintenance Technician at our 52-unit affordable housing community Canal Lock in Ellenville, NY , you will play a vital role in ensuring our buildings and grounds are safe, functional, and inviting. You'll perform a variety of maintenance tasks, from plumbing and electrical repairs to HVAC and carpentry work, all while upholding our high standards for quality and safety. Complete service requests in a timely manner and interact with residents to ensure their needs are met. Prepare vacant units to occupancy standards within established time frames. Inspect property mechanical systems and grounds, addressing safety issues immediately with management. Conduct advanced routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs. Perform cleaning and upkeep of common areas and grounds. Train and mentor junior maintenance staff as needed. Inspect property and address maintenance concerns proactively. Assist in emergency repairs as directed by supervisors and rotate on-call for emergency maintenance. Maintain an inventory of maintenance supplies and report any shortages. COMPENSATION
$20.00- $21.00 / hour Weekly Pay Schedule
- Monday, Wednesday, and Friday; 8:00am
- 4:30pm This position is Non-Exempt, meaning eligible for overtime pay This range is provided as a general guideline and reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this role at the time of posting.
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in general maintenance or related field. Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical systems. Affordable housing experience is a plus. Must be able to participate in the emergency on-call rotation as needed. Dedicated to exceeding expectations by providing exceptional service.
