Job Description

Job Summary As a Hotel Maintenance Technician, you are the backbone of the guest experience. You'll be responsible for keeping our guest rooms, public spaces, and "behind-the-scenes" equipment in top shape. Whether it's fixing a leaky faucet, painting a hallway, or troubleshooting a Wi-Fi issue, your goal is to ensure every guest enjoys a safe, comfortable, and functional stay. [1, 2, 3]
Key Responsibilities Guest Room Care:
Respond promptly to guest "fix-it" requests (clogged drains, TV issues, AC adjustments) with a friendly and professional attitude.
General Repairs:
Perform basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks—such as replacing light fixtures, repairing drywall, or fixing door locks. Preventative Maintenance (PM): Follow a daily checklist to inspect and service equipment before it breaks, ensuring everything from PTAC units to pool pumps stays running.
Curb Appeal:
Assist with the upkeep of the building exterior, parking lot, and common areas to keep the property looking sharp.
Safety Checks:
Monitor fire alarms, emergency lighting, and exit paths to ensure we remain 100% compliant with safety codes.
Collaboration:
Work closely with the Housekeeping and Front Desk teams to prioritize room readiness and guest needs
Qualifications & Skills Experience:
1-2 years of experience in general maintenance, construction, or a similar trade (hotel experience is a plus!). The "Handyman"
Skillset:
Basic knowledge of tools and how to use them safely. Familiarity with HVAC, plumbing, or electricity is highly valued.
Physical Ability:
Must be comfortable being on your feet all day, climbing ladders, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Guest Service Mindset:
Since you'll be entering guest rooms, you must be polite, well-groomed, and have a "can-do" attitude.
Schedule Flexibility:
Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays
