Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery, HVAC systems, refrigeration units, and electrical equipment to prevent breakdowns. Diagnose and repair appliances, air conditioning units, refrigeration systems, and other mechanical equipment using schematics and technical manuals. Conduct troubleshooting and repairs on HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) systems to ensure optimal performance. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to facilitate accurate repairs and installations. Lead small maintenance projects or construction tasks, coordinating with team members to ensure timely completion. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used for accountability and future reference. Respond promptly to emergency repair requests to minimize downtime and maintain safety standards. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in appliance repair, HVAC/R systems, refrigeration, and equipment repair. Proven service technician experience with the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues efficiently. Familiarity with schematics, technical diagrams, and blueprints for accurate diagnostics and repairs. Knowledge of HVAC systems including air conditioning units, ventilation systems, and refrigeration equipment. Ability to perform construction-related tasks as needed for facility upgrades or modifications. Leadership qualities with the ability to mentor junior team members or lead small project teams. Excellent communication skills for clear documentation of work performed and collaboration with other departments.
