Job Description

The Advanced Maintenance Technician is responsible for the installation, calibration, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of equipment, machinery, and facilities to support our manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities:
Install complex machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, and other drawings using hoists, lift trucks, hand tools, and power tools Calibrate, align, and adjust production equipment Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems Repair, maintain, install, and make improvements to manufacturing equipment and machinery Ability to fabricate or machine components to exact tolerances using lathes, drill presses, grinders, and other shop equipment Execute preventative maintenance program Update maintenance logs and report daily activities to supervisor Flexible to work around production schedules as needed to complete maintenance and repairs Available for occasional overtime and/or call in during off hours Assist maintenance team with all projects and tasks as needed Qualification and Skills Vocational Degree or equivalent in the field of machine repair tech, millwright, or field machinist Five to ten years of maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment Required strong technical knowledge of millwright, mechanical, electronic, and hydraulic systems, and their maintenance requirements Technical understanding of welding, plumbing, carpentry, electric and HVAC preferred Strong attention to detail with neat and organized work Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings Effective analytical troubleshooting skills Willingness to collaborate and work in other areas and with other trades when needed Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision both independently and in a group Forklift Certification, or willingness and ability to certify upon hire Knowledge of safety, compliance, and environmental guidelines applicable to maintenance activities including Lock Out / Tag Out and Hot Work Able to work from heights from a ladder or man lift, and occasional environments containing extreme heat or cold, and confined spaces
Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 6:00 am - 2:30 pm
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of the job the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk, hear, or smell. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate with occasional loud noises. A representative wage range is included in this posting. Final wage will be based on experience.
