Job Description

A local Commercial Property Management company seeks a hands-on Experienced Maintenance Technician to maintain its properties in the Albany, New York Region.
Primary Responsibilities:
Perform and oversee general building maintenance and improvement tasks to include plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, and preventative maintenance at multiple building office locations.
Additional duties include:
Maintain condition of commercial buildings; identify and perform repairs and replacements; utilize outside contractors as needed; interface with tenants. Perform minor electrical maintenance such as replacement or repair of fixtures (e.g. wall switches and outlets, fluorescent and LED lamps, ballasts, sockets, fuses, minor appliances, cords, etc.) Perform minor plumbing repairs (e.g. replacement or repair of drains, faucets and toilets, unclogging of drains and toilets, replacement water heaters, etc.) Perform minor carpentry and masonry work (e.g. repair doors, repair of drywall and flooring, repair or replace locksets, etc.) •Call in outside contractors as needed; obtain proposals from and oversee outside contractor work Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that building systems operate efficiently and maintain physical condition of the building. Repair or replace defective equipment parts, using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment.
Education or Experience:
Must have a valid driver's license in good standing; •High school diploma or equivalent (military or technical training/experience a plus); Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of various hand power tools;
Work Environment :
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Requires bending, climbing, walking, crawling and crouching throughout the day Majority of shift will be spent mobile Regular exposure to dust, odors, oil, fumes and noise
