In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining a wide variety of garage doors and related systems. Your expertise will ensure our customers experience safe, reliable, and efficient garage door solutions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilize your technical skills, and contribute to the safety and satisfaction of our clients. Responsibilities Install new garage doors, including framing, door hanging, and fixture installation using hand tools and power tools Perform repairs and maintenance on existing garage doors, including spring replacement, track alignment, and opener troubleshooting Conduct glass installation for windows or panels within garage doors when required Use welding and fabrication skills to modify or create custom components for specialized installations Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately execute projects Apply mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues with door mechanisms, locks, and electrical systems Ensure safety protocols are followed during all installation and repair activities, including heavy lifting and working at heights Requirements Proven experience with garage door installation, repair, or related construction work Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks regularly Construction site experience with framing, carpentry (including trim carpentry), metal stud framing, and remodeling projects Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and electrical systems related to garage doors Familiarity with locksmithing principles and fixture or cabinet installation is a plus Strong mechanical aptitude combined with problem-solving skills Experience with caulking, door frame carpentry, metal fabrication, electrical wiring or troubleshooting is desirable Valid construction or handyman certification is advantageous but not mandatory Join us if you're passionate about craftsmanship, enjoy working on diverse projects in a fast-paced environment, and want to be part of a team committed to excellence!
