JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Summary The purpose of this job is to perform a very wide variety of maintenance tasks including but not limited to mechanical and electrical maintenance work such as; installation, fabrication, assembly, set-up, diagnosis, troubleshooting maintenance work on plant equipment, facilities, and services requiring the use of hand and maintenance tools and skills. Duties and Responsibilities Works from blueprints, sketches, written and verbal instructions. Operates a wide variety of equipment such as; various saws, benders, breaks, pipe threaders, drills, gauges, meters, feelers, voltmeters, micrometers, industrial fork trucks, hand trucks, machine tools, welding equipment, carts, ladders, lifts, etc. Provides cross training for other skills. May be a member of a work group (team) that utilizes some business skills such as: writing and entering work orders, time distribution, quotes and estimates, use of computer in performance of duties, etc. Certification and Skill Modules This position has a skill/certification module.

The specific skill requirements for each module appear in the certification documentation. Skill Module 1 Scope Module 1 includes such duties as: Key Responsibilities Works independently, coordinates PMs, rebuilds, shutdowns and other employees as required. Displays innovativeness when dealing with complex problems. Trains others in maintenance techniques designed for sensitive processes. Works as a member of a team. Writes process documentation. Prepares maintenance projects and layouts. Interfaces with customers, vendors and suppliers. Responsible for the quality of work, timeliness, work methods, practices, etc. The starting pay for this position is $37.02 USD hourly rate.
