Job Description
Overview General Maintenance Join St. Charles Hospital, a 243-bed acute care community hospital in Port Jefferson and a proud member of Catholic Health Services of Long Island. For more than 110 years, St. Charles has been recognized for delivering exceptional patient care and outstanding customer service across specialties including Orthopedics, Rehabilitation, Maternal/Child Services, Surgery, Emergency Medicine, and Stroke Care. Job Details This is a per diem position Friday and Saturday Nights 11PM-7AM The General Maintenance Technician supports hospital operations by performing preventive maintenance and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and facility systems. Key Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment Monitor and work with the Building Management System (BMS) Replace belts on air handling units Clear drains and replace filters Assist with snow removal and general facility maintenance Qualifications High School Diploma or GED 3-4 years of maintenance experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and power plant operations Valid driver's license Become part of a team dedicated to maintaining a safe, efficient, and high-quality healthcare environment. Posted Salary Range Starting from USD $34.00/Hr. This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience.
