Job Description
Hotel group looking to hire experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team. We are seeking a skilled, dependable, and service-oriented Maintenance Technician to join our hotel maintenance team. This position is responsible for the overall upkeep, repair, and appearance of the property to ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for guests and staff. Duties include performing preventative maintenance, responding to guest and staff work orders, maintaining exterior grounds and landscaping, and repairing building systems and equipment. The ideal candidate is a hands-on professional with strong technical abilities, excellent problem-solving skills, and attention to detail. Successful candidates will demonstrate reliability, professionalism, and the ability to work independently while maintaining high hospitality standards.
Responsibilities:
Perform general maintenance tasks including drywall repair, painting, minor carpentry, cleaning, and routine facility repairs. Repair and maintain hotel equipment, appliances, machinery, and tools. Detect and report the need for major repairs or replacement of building systems and equipment. Inspect interior and exterior areas regularly to identify safety hazards, litter, damage, or maintenance concerns. Respond to guest and staff maintenance requests promptly, courteously, and professionally. Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems. Maintain cleanliness and appearance of exterior spaces including parking lots, sidewalks, landscaping, and common areas. Inspect and service guest room appliances such as refrigerators, microwaves, coffee makers, stoves, and ovens where applicable. Provide guests and staff with support regarding proper use of hotel equipment when needed. Lift and carry materials, tools, and equipment up to 50 pounds. Perform preventative maintenance on guest rooms, public areas, and mechanical systems to minimize downtime and costly repairs. Assist with room turns, inspections, and preparing vacant rooms for guest arrivals. Maintain maintenance logs, work orders, and inventory of tools, parts, and supplies. Ensure compliance with hotel safety standards, OSHA guidelines, and company policies. Assist with emergency situations such as water leaks, power outages, or weather-related property issues.Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Certifications are helpful but not required. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a maintenance, facilities, or similar role. Valid driver's license required. Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building systems. Pool maintenance and cleaning experience preferred. Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment. Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills. Detail-oriented with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks. Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and occasional on-call shifts as needed. Previous hotel, apartment, or hospitality maintenance experience preferred. Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and perform physical work throughout the shift.Pay:
