IMMEDIATELY HIRING
Skilled Nursing rehabilitation/long-term care facility located in Queens, NY is seeking 1 Full Time Floor Care Technician The Floor Care Technician will be responsible for keeping different types of flooring clean and well-maintained in accordance with laws, regulations and facility guidelines.
Duties:
Perform cleaning, waxing, stripping, and refinishing various floor types Operate and maintain floor care equipment Repair or refinish damaged or worn-out floor surfaces Ensure that all cleaning procedures comply with safety standards to prevent slip and fall hazards. Keep an inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment and report any maintenance issues to the supervisor Engage in physical activities, including moving furniture and handling cleaning equipment, to maintain cleanliness in all areas Reporting maintenance issues to supervisor Assisting with the hazardous waste collection as requested by the supervisor
Experience:
Previous experience in floor maintenance or a related field is advantageous.
Skills:
Good communication skills, attention to detail, ability to follow safety protocols, and proficiency in using cleaning equipment and chemicals are essential.
