Bexley Position Summary:
The Floor Technician is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of hard surface floors through routine and periodic maintenance. This includes sweeping, mopping, buffing, stripping, and waxing floors to ensure a safe, clean, and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Sweep and remove debris from floors Mop floors using appropriate cleaning solutions Operate floor care equipment such as buffers, burnishers, and auto scrubbers Strip and wax floors to maintain finish and durability Buff and polish floors to enhance appearance Follow all safety procedures when handling chemicals and equipment Maintain and clean equipment after each use Report maintenance or safety concerns to supervisor
Qualifications:
Previous floor care experience is required Proven ability to operate floor equipment (buffers, burnishers, scrubbers) Knowledge of proper floor care techniques, including stripping and waxing Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines Strong attention to detail and reliability Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to bend, stoop, and perform repetitive motions
