Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervision of Maintenance Department:
Oversee and ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. Schedule daily work tasks
Preventive Maintenance:
Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program to ensure the hotel's facilities and equipment are in optimal working condition. Conduct regular inspections of hotel facilities to identify areas needing repair or maintenance.
Repair and Troubleshooting:
Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and guests, addressing issues such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repairs. Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance problems in a timely manner. Swimming Pool & Hot Tub Upkeep and checking chemical levels of swimming pool and spa
Safety and Compliance:
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and hotel policies, conducting safety inspections and risk assessments. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local building codes and regulations.
Budget Management:
Assist in developing and managing the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective practices. Monitor expenses related to maintenance operations and control costs.
Inventory Management:
Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels. Order necessary materials and tools, maintaining relationships with vendors.
Training and Development:
Up to date on training of best practices, safety procedures, and hotel policies. Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of maintenance requests, repairs, and inventory. Prepare reports on maintenance activities, budget expenditures, and staff performance for management. Collaboration with
Other Departments:
Work closely with other departments, such as housekeeping and front desk, to ensure seamless operations. Participate in departmental meetings to discuss facility needs and improvement opportunities.
Emergency Response:
Act as a key contact for emergency situations, coordinating quick and effective responses to facility-related emergencies. Ensure that emergency protocols are established and staff is trained accordingly.
Skills and Qualifications:
Strong technical knowledge in various maintenance disciplines (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc.) Excellent leadership and team management skills. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Organizational skills and attention to detail.
