Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at the Holiday Inn Canton. This is an afternoon position from 3:00-11:00. We are a full service 184 room hotel including our restaurant Twenty/20 Taphouse, indoor swimming pool, patio and courtyard, and event space. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing various maintenance duties to ensure the functionality and safety of our facilities. This is a hands on role that requires strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment. Conduct routine inspections of equipment and facilities to identify any issues or malfunctions
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks, such as lubricating machinery and replacing worn parts
  • Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner and prioritize tasks based on urgency
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to diagnose and resolve problems
  • Repair or replace faulty equipment components, such as motors, belts, or switches
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and completed repairs
  • Assist with supervising contractors or outside vendors for larger repair projects
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work area Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and other departments
  • Solid mechanical knowledge and the ability to troubleshoot and repair various types of equipment
  • Experience with reading and interpreting schematics, blueprints, and logic controllers
  • Proficient in electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, and troubleshooting
