Job Description
About the Role We are a growing property management company seeking a reliable and skilled General Maintenance Technician to support a portfolio of approximately 150-200 residential properties throughout the Cleveland area and surrounding suburbs. Many of our properties are tenant-occupied , so this role requires someone who is not only technically skilled, but also professional, respectful, and comfortable interacting with residents. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys independent work, problem-solving, and hands-on maintenance tasks while traveling between multiple properties each day. Key Responsibilities
- Complete routine maintenance and repair work across multiple residential properties
- Respond to service requests in a timely and professional manner, often in occupied units
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to: ○ Plumbing (leaks, clogs, fixture repairs) ○ Electrical (basic troubleshooting, outlets, lighting) ○ HVAC (filter changes, basic diagnostics) ○ General carpentry and repairs
- Perform unit turns and prepare vacant units for new tenants
- Conduct property inspections and identify maintenance needs
- Maintain accurate records of completed work and materials used
- Communicate effectively with property management team regarding job status
- Interact professionally with tenants, ensuring a positive service experience Daily Expectations
- Travel to approximately 3-5 job sites per day
- Work independently while managing time and workload efficiently
- Provide respectful, tenant-friendly service in occupied homes
- Represent the company professionally in all resident interactions Qualifications
- 2+ years of general maintenance or handyman experience (property management preferred)
- Strong working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC basics, and general repairs
- Experience working in tenant-occupied environments is a strong plus
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to troubleshoot issues and complete repairs independently
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical tasks as needed What We Offer
