Description of Role:
The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the comprehensive maintenance and repair of our plant facilities and equipment. This includes troubleshooting, installing, servicing, monitoring, and repairing plant utilities like compressors, pumps, water softeners, valves, and piping systems. A strong commitment to quality work, safety protocols, and the preventative maintenance program is essential. What are we looking for?
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education 3+ years of industrial maintenance related experience Experience in troubleshooting and repairing equipment and machinery Previous experience maintaining manufacturing plant facilities Proficient in computer software's including MS Office and email
Physical Requirements:
Frequent lifting/carrying (10-50 lbs.) and frequent pushing/pulling (50-200 lbs.). Frequent handling/gripping/bending/stooping Ability to work at elevated heights off a ladder or platform, climb stairs, leaning over equipment Ability to stand and / or work on feet for extended periods Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed to support production needs and to conduct multi-task work in a very fast paced work environment Able to handle hot and cold temperature environments as well as confined spaces Ability to speak, read, write and understand
English Preferred Qualifications:
Technical degree or certifications 5+ years industrial maintenance experience Proficient in the use of Industrial mechanics tools, Industrial electricians tools, Industrial instrumentation, and Controls tool, and Industrial rigging/millwork tools 3+ years feed manufacturing experience What will be your key responsibilities? Service, monitor, maintain, and repair all utilities including compressors, pumps, water softeners, valves, and plant piping systems Overall facility maintenance including plant and office space Submit work orders, troubleshoot, fabricate and repair equipment Preventative Maintenance and Sanitation Water sampling and chemical testing of boilers Maintain all paperwork and records as directed Compliance with all Mars Safety Guidelines and follow all regulations such as Lock Out/ Tag Out, Hot Work Permit, Bin Entry Permit, Working at Heights and other safety requirements Any ad hoc requests
